The Oxford Centre for Intellectual History is one of the most active centres of teaching and scholarship in this field in the world. On this site you can explore the community of scholars, their publications, and the many events and seminars in the subject happening across the University.

Hosted by the Oxford History Faculty, the Oxford Centre for Late Antiquity (OCLA) gathers researchers within the field of Late Antiquity, with specialisms that embrace all the disciplines, from Archaeology to Theology, and that cover the entire geographical spectrum of the late antique world, from Coptic Egypt and Sasanian Iran, to the Celtic North.

The Centre for Manuscript and Text Cultures (CMTC) is an inter- and cross-disciplinary research centre for the study of material text cultures and their written artefacts. CMTC builds on, and substantially expands—both methodologically and in scope—the activities of the Workshop for Manuscript and Text Cultures (WMTC), which has been running successfully since 2012.

Since its foundation Corpus Christi College has promoted the study of Latin and Greek and remains committed to exploring the classical world. The Corpus Christi College Centre for the Study of Greek and Roman Antiquity was set up in 1993 as a focus for the College's various postgraduate activities in classical research.

Early Text Cultures (ETC) is the home of conversation among scholars working on premodern texts, from the ancient to the medieval. Based at the University of Oxford, we organise interdisciplinary seminars, conferences and workshops that act as a spur to methodological and conceptual clarity and innovation.

Philiminality Oxford is a student-run platform for cross-cultural and interdisciplinary philosophy. We discuss philosophical ideas, thinkers, and approaches which are frequently marginalized in both Anglo-American and “continental” academic circles. Many of our events focus on the history of philosophy from a global perspective.
